This Forum delved into results from a consumer research study regarding consumer awareness and understanding about gene editing and measuring market potential for gene-edited food products. Read the press release, which includes key findings.

View the full report, which is the result of a partnership between Farm Foundation, FMI, the Food Industry Association, American Seed Trade Association, American Farm Bureau Federation and Michigan State University.  The research examined U.S. consumers beliefs, awareness and understanding of gene editing and their willingness to pay for gene-edited foods as it pertained to fresh and processed vegetables and meat. The purpose of the study was to provide valuable information to producers, retailers, consumers and policy makers. Speakers will discuss the core findings and what they mean for various industry sectors.
