The Role of Conservation Practices in Meeting Water Quality Goals

January 23, 2018

National Press Club, Washington, D.C.

Achieving water quality goals across broad geographic areas presents complex and diverse challenges that may require diverse solutions. Work is needed to better understand the compatibility of practices across watersheds, as well as the challenges those practices may present to individual landowners and agricultural producers. This Forum examined the role of conservation practices in making progress toward water quality goals within and across watersheds. Panelists were:

  • Jimmy Bramblett, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service
  • Dennis Nuxoll, Western Growers Association
  • Barry Gold, Walton Family Foundation
  • Fred Yoder, Ohio farmer and Solutions from the Land
