Jack Myers is a Ph.D. student in public policy at the University of Arkansas with an emphasis on agricultural policy. Jack received his B.S. in dairy science from Iowa State University and an M.S. in food science from Kansas State University.
Originally from Fowler, Michigan, Jack was exposed to agriculture at a very young age by attending farm machinery shows and equipment demonstrations alongside his grandparents. Jack got his start in the dairy industry by working on a dairy farm in Central Michigan. It was this experience during his high school years that sparked his interest in the dairy industry, where he has remained active ever since.
Jack is currently a member American Dairy Science Association and Agricultural History Society. He has held internships with ABS Global and Agropur, giving him experience in the animal breeding and cheese manufacturing sides of the dairy industry. Jack’s current research interests are centered on policies that impact dairy farmers and international dairy trade.
