Ike Inniss
Ike Inniss, a citizen of St. Kitts and Nevis, is a humble individual who firmly believes that there is no knowledge that is not power. This knowledge and power, when attained, should be used to help other
people improve their lives. He is a results-driven graduate student with a robust academic background in geography, Natural Disaster Risk Management, and Climate Governance. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Urban Forestry at Southern University and A&M College, Ike brings a passion for research, data analysis, and spatial analysis. His excellent communication and teamwork skills, combined with a proven ability to apply critical thinking to complex geographical issues, enable him to generate innovative solutions. With a rich educational history, including a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education specializing in Geography from the University of the West Indies and a Master of Science in Natural Disaster Risk Management and Climate Control from Alfonso X el Sabio University, Ike is well-equipped to make significant contributions to impactful projects. Additionally, him, having more than 20 years of experience as an educator, he has honed his ability to design engaging lesson plans and implement innovative cognitive teaching methods, while articulating with relevant stakeholders.
Ike is especially interested in how agriculture can be a tool for building stronger, more resilient rural communities. His goal is to stay involved in agricultural stewardship, working to support farmers and
expand access to agricultural education in ways that make a lasting impact. Beyond his academic and professional endeavors, Ike is an active member of the SU MANRRS Chapter and is involved in mentoring and extracurricular activities which foster positive attitudes and skills among students and community members. He has also pursued professional development through various training programs and conferences, further enhancing his expertise in remote sensing and spatial data representation. Eager to collaborate with professionals in the geography sector, Ike is dedicated to driving positive change and advancing his field through continuous learning and impactful contributions.
