Emily Zakowski is an environmental scientist with the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Office of Pesticide Consultation and Analysis. Her work includes policy analysis relating to pest management and sustainable agriculture.
Emily graduated from University of California, Davis with an MS in Environmental Policy and Management. Prior to Davis, Emily earned a BS in Biology from the George Washington University, during which she studied and conducted research on human-wildlife conflict and conservation in Tanzania and Australia.
She was also a researcher at the Environmental Defense Fund, where she worked to understand social motivation for grower behavioral change in an effort to support pollinator conservation on agricultural lands.
