Teresa Thomas

Teresa Thomas is founder and owner of Crazy Plant Bae, a houseplant business in New Orleans. At the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, she and her family began an online plant store, which was a reprisal of a store her mother had had in San Francisco in the 80s. The online business quickly evolved into a storefront in the Tremé district. In addition to selling plants, the space functions as a community space and as a local artisan showcase.

Teresa graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in agricultural economics and international trade. Ten years ago, she started helping new gardeners develop their edible gardens and then focused on house plants in the last two years.
