2002 Farmer Cooperatives Conference: Restructuring for Troubled Times

The fifth annual Farmer's Cooperative Conference, "Restructuring for Troubled Times," was Nov. 13-15, 2002, in St. Louis, Mo. The conference was organized by the University of Wisconsin Center for Cooperatives, with Farm Foundation a principal sponsor.

The Fifth Annual Farmer's Cooperative Conference, "Restructuring for Troubled Times," was Nov. 13-15, 2008 in St. Louis, MO.  Farm Foundation co-sponsored the conference as part of its Role of Agricultural Institutions priority area.

The program examined how cooperatives are reorganizing and forming strategic alliances to address new business challenges.  The audience included cooperative managers, employees and board members, university researchers and educators and other cooperative leaders.

The University of Wisconsin Center for Cooperatives organizes the Farmer Cooperatives Conference to provided co-op directors, management, professional organizations, government and academia with information on major trends and issues impacting the existing and future business environment, and insights into innovative approaches to achieving business success and enhancing value to co-op members.
