2013 North American Agricultural Safety Summit

The North American Agricultural Safety Summit will convene Sept. 25-27, 2013, at the Marriott Minneapolis City Center Hotel.  The Agricultural Safety and Health Council of America (ASHCA) is hosting the summit, which is expected to draw agribusiness leaders, safety experts, researchers and members of the legal and medical communities.  Farm Foundation, NFP is a collaborator.

“If our agriculture industry is going to feed 9 billion people, the projected world population by 2050, then we should care enough to do it safely, humanely and sustainably,” said William Nelson, Agricultural Safety and Health Council of America (ASHCA) Chair, and Vice President of  Corporate Citizenship for CHS, Inc.

The summit will feature non-traditional sessions to match safety interventions with production practices and emerging safety issues. The summit will include shorter speeches from more people.  A "genius bar" will provide participants the opportunity to interact directly with speakers on issues not covered in formal sessions.  Interactive learning stations will allow participants to choose from a variety of topics, as well as hands-on access to such options as e-learning, webinars and safety demos.  CLICK HERE for program details.

Registration, which is $300 for the entire summit, can be completed at the conference website.  A student discount is available.
