2014 Farmer Cooperatives Conference

"Change, Challenge and Opportunity" is the theme of the 17th annual Farmer Cooperatives Conference Nov. 6-7, 2014, at the Radisson Blu, Minneapolis, MN.

Organized by the University of Wisconsin Center for Cooperatives, this conference draws cooperative leaders and industry experts from across the country to discuss the latest strategic thinking on current cooperative issues and trends.

Featured speakers include Catherine Wotecki, USDA Chief Scientist and Under Secretary for Research, Education and Economics. Conference session topics include governance and growth in a global market, managing risk in a global market, incorporating sustainability in strategic plans, and evaluating the risks and benefits of big data.

Farm Foundation, NFP has partnered on the Farmer Cooperatives conferences since itheir inception 17 years ago. The North Central Education and Research Activity (NCERA)-210 regional research project workshop will precede the conference on Nov. 5 at the Radisson Blue. NCERA-210 promotes research and education on agricultural cooperatives.
