Management of Preserved Farmlands

Neighbor Interactions, Agricultural Infrastructure and Farmland Conversion

This project brought together farm leaders, land conservation organizations and economists to examine what was known about management of preserved farmlands, identify the gaps in understanding and develop a long-term plan to fill these knowledge gaps.

The initial meeting was in late summer 2001.  The preliminary report issued in September 2001 outlined a long-term study and identified next steps for determining the exact parameters of the study.
