WTO: Competing Policy Issues and Agendas for Agricultural Trade

World Trade Organization (WTO) negotiations involved a number of trade policy issues with the potential to reshape global agricultural markets. These included the proliferation of bilateral and regional trade agreements; enlargement of the European Union (EU); pending reform of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy, and changes in the trade preferences of developing countries. Farm Foundation partnered with USDA's Economic Research Service to present a conference on these issues Sept. 17, 2003, in Washington D.C. Papers and presentations by conference speakers are posted here. An  executive summary is also available. Click here for video clips of the conference.
