Presentation Title: Almond Value Chain Shifts: BRICS Processing Expansion and Impacts on U.S. Export Sustainability
Raagav Vijayalakshmi Siva is an Agricultural Business Management student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, originally from Coimbatore, India. His interests lie in how agriculture connects to markets, finance, and the broader food system.
He has experience working across different parts of agriculture, from farm operations to research and business strategy. At UW–Madison, he is involved in research and industry-facing projects, and regularly engages with agricultural businesses through case competitions and consulting projects.
Raagav is especially interested in how agricultural systems evolve in response to changing markets, sustainability pressures, and global dynamics. He enjoys conversations that bring together different perspectives across the value chain, from producers to consumers. He is currently exploring career paths in agribusiness, with a long-term goal of building and scaling ventures that create value for both farmers and the broader food system.
