Kayla Bhalla is a merchant at Walmart with over 15 years of experience in Food spanning food innovation, and large-scale retail. She leads Global Foods within Walmart’s D92 division, managing a multi-billion-dollar business that includes culturally relevant categories such as rice, dry beans, and international pantry staples—products deeply rooted in agricultural supply chains and global farming communities.

Throughout her career, Kayla has been passionate about connecting agriculture to the end consumer. She has driven sustainable growth by building strategies that support farmers, strengthen supplier partnerships, and expand access to culturally diverse foods for customers across the U.S. Her work delivers both economic value and community impact, including initiatives that improve supply chain resilience and increase food accessibility.

Before Walmart, Kayla spent a decade at Tyson Foods in marketing and innovation, developing growth strategies grounded in agricultural insights and leading cross-functional teams to bring new products to market. She holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Arkansas and is recognized for her leadership and commitment to advancing the future of food.
