Economic Impacts of Animal Diseases

At a July 2003 workshop in Denver, Colo., experts from industry, government and academia examined the potential impacts an outbreak of an animal disease, such as hoof and mouth disease, might have on the entire U.S. food system.

Participants discussed the most logical steps for disease prevention and food system security; reviewed current research knowledge; and set priorities for future research and policy actions.

Farm Foundation presented this conference in partnership with Colorado State University.
