Farm Foundation Names Student Cultivators for June 2020

[OAK BROOK, IL] Farm Foundation, an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, is pleased to announce the names of six exceptional students who have been named 2020 Farm Foundation Cultivators. Students were selected from a highly competitive pool of nominees submitted by leaders of agricultural programs at North American land grant colleges and universities. Each student will be invited to participate in and present at the Farm Foundation June 2020 Round Table meeting.

“Supporting the next generation of farmers, ranchers, and agri-business leaders is core to Farm Foundation’s vision for building a future for farmers, our communities and our world,” says Farm Foundation President and CEO Shari Rogge-Fidler. “We are proud to support these students as they continue to excel in their chosen fields.”
Cultivators selected for June 2020 are:

• Abigail Cox, Cornell University
• Becky Hawkins, Auburn University
• Heidi Borg, University of Nebraska-Lincoln
• Kevin Zhang, University of Illinois
• Matthias Kunerth, South Dakota State University
• Michael Fioretto, University of Florida

The Farm Foundation Round Table is an invitational group of c-suite food and agricultural leaders from across the supply chain and their guests who meet semi-annually to discuss issues of importance to agribusiness, the food system and rural communities. The meetings are designed to explore ideas, analyses and insights that participants may use in their own work. Round Table discussions also generate new ideas for Farm Foundation project work.
