Program is part of suite of initiatives to support next generation of ag leaders

[OAK BROOK, Ill.]—Farm Foundation, an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, is pleased to announce the names of six exceptional students who have been named Farm Foundation Cultivators for January 2021. Students were selected from a highly competitive pool of nominees submitted by leaders of agricultural programs at North American land grant colleges and universities. Each student is invited to participate in and present at the Farm Foundation January 2021 Round Table meeting.

“The next generation of agricultural leaders is a vital part of our mission and vision at Farm Foundation,” said President and CEO Shari Rogge-Fidler. “We are proud to recognize and support these students and give them the opportunity to connect with some of our industry’s most respected leaders.”

Cultivators selected for January 2021 are:

  • Christopher Danner, University of Minnesota
  • Carson Edge, Auburn University
  • Ailie Elmore, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  • Jacob Lehman, University of Florida
  • Morgan MathisonSlee, Michigan State University

The Farm Foundation Round Table is an invitation-only group of thought leaders, policy makers and influential figures from a broad cross-section of the food and agriculture value chain. The group, with invited guests, meets twice a year to discuss issues of importance to agribusiness, the food system and rural communities. Round Table discussions also generate new ideas for Farm Foundation project work. By attending, student Cultivators have the unique opportunity to interact with leaders in today’s food and agriculture sector. Learn more at https://www.farmfoundation.org/cultivators/.
