Farm Foundation® Forum on Digital Agriculture to be Held August 11

Free virtual event at 9 a.m. CDT

OAK BROOK, Ill.—Farm Foundation®, an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, will host its next virtual Forum, Advancing Digital Agriculture at the Farm Level, on Wednesday, August 11 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. CDT.

Shari Rogge-Fidler,President and CEO of Farm Foundation, will moderate the panel, which will include diverse perspectives from these expert contributors:

  • Teddy Bekele, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Land O’Lakes, Inc.; Chairman, FCC Task Force for Precision Agriculture Connectivity and Adoption
  • Brian Krambeer, President and CEO, MiEnergy Cooperative
  • Dean Nierling, Farmer; Chair, MiEnergy Cooperative Board
  • Steve Pitstick, Owner, Pitstick Farms

The session will last two hours, during with the panel will explore the barriers to and enablers of on-farm digital agriculture practices, broadly including topics such as rural broadband and connectivity, precision agriculture, data management and meeting the user need. Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions for the panelists to answer live during the event.

“The past decade has seen great advancements in agtech, but there are still practical hurdles that must be cleared to improve access, adoption and benefits at the farm level,” said Rogge-Fidler. “We are looking forward to a robust discussion that examines the progress that has been made while also highlighting ways to address the remaining digital ag challenges and ensure the greatest opportunities for farmers.”

This event is being held virtually and is free to attend, but registration is required. Farmers, ranchers, food and agribusiness leaders, government officials and staff, industry representatives, NGO representatives, academics, students in agricultural disciplines and members of the media are all encouraged to attend.
