Farm Foundation’s Ag Scholars Attend 2024 USDA Ag Outlook Forum

The 2024 Agricultural Scholars attended the USDA 100th Annual Agricultural Outlook Forum in Washington, D.C. During the two-day event, held February 15th and 16th, the group of 20 Ag Scholars listened to speakers present on the economic outlook of commodities and various agricultural issues. These included climate-smart agriculture, Indigenous food practices, innovative farming practices, advancements in biomass energy, transatlantic trade policies, and more.

Attending the Ag Outlook Forum provides the Ag Scholars with a better understanding of the economic picture of American agriculture. There they are also able to network with a diverse group of professionals working in agriculture. It is also the second time the group is able to convene in person, since first getting together at the January Round Table meeting.

Helping the Ag Scholars to participate in the Ag Outlook Forum is one example of how Farm Foundation programs help to create a better understanding of agriculture and work to build the next generation of agricultural leaders.
