Marisol Olivas

Topic “Assessment of Farm Succession & Transition Programs in the United States”

Marisol Olivas is from Belen, New Mexico, and is pursuing a Master of Agriculture with an emphasis in Agricultural Business at New Mexico State University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business and Agricultural Economics.

Serving as a Graduate Assistant, she works on a research project titled “An Assessment of Farm Succession and Transition Programs in the United States.” She plans to present her findings at conferences and publish in extension outlets. Her long-term goal is to own and operate an agricultural business while supporting New Mexico’s agriculture industry, rural communities, and producers.
