Erin Galloway

Erin Galloway is a Market Farmer in Northeast Wyoming.  She has been growing vegetables and selling them directly to customers since 2010.  She currently farms specialty crops on 1/2 of an acre.  Crop production includes several different items including root vegetables, leafy greens, corn, cauliflower, tomatoes, cabbage, winter squash, edible pumpkins and many more items.  Produce, beef, pork, eggs and value-added items are available at the on-ranch Farm Store 11 months of the year.  Erin and her husband Mike are also creators of the YouTube channel Our Wyoming Life which has 150,000 followers on social media. They make videos highlighting daily ranching on the family cow/calf ranch, market farming and family life on the ranch.  She enjoys the unique challenge of growing vegetables in Northeast Wyoming and sharing her experiences.  In 2018 Erin helped co-found Gillette’s Little Free Pantry Network- a program that places old newspaper receptacles into parks and other locations where they can be filled with food items for the public with the motto of take what you need and leave what you can.  In 2019 Erin helped create the non-profit, Edible Prairie Project, in order to form an organization committed to using local food as a solution to hunger.  Edible Prairie Project’s programs include a multi-farm CSA with tiered pricing, weekend food bags for school age children during summer break, garden kits and farm gleaning.  She is focused on helping agriculture producers sell their products locally and work hard to build a thriving local food economy.  Through both Our Wyoming Life and Edible Prairie Project, Erin is working to promote and create more local food access for both the consumer and family farms and ranches.
